When you’re in the entertainment business, especially the cartoon part of entertainment, it can be difficult to figure out how to “officially” react to a tragedy. Like everyone, all of us around Frederator have been in shock since the bombs exploded in Boston on Monday afternoon. And as details come in, but with no clue as to the origins, my personal glum has just become deeper.

Probably the best thing we can do around here is keep on keeping on. I’ve always felt that our job is to make people happy and over the years there’s nothing that’s made me back off of that. So we’re going to keep on keeping on, and thinking of our friends who are a lot closer to Monday’s events than we are. It won’t make any of the sad feelings go away, but hopefully it’ll make a few people feel better.

It was last May when we first told you how honored we were to be producing Mike Rosenthal’s first cartoon, “Our New Electrical Morals,” (based on Mike’s web comic); follow it on tumblr here. It was released today, and we couldn’t be prouder. Or laugh anymore!
